Join us for an evening of inspiration, wonder and hope as we celebrate and commemorate Kerrie Joy at her final event as the inaugural Adams County Poet Laureate.
Come wander around the library and dream with us about the kind of future we can create—for ourselves, our communities, and our world.
If you haven't been to an Unstudied Adams County event yet, here's a glimpse of what to expect:
- An immersive art experience by Julie Claes and Sadie Young with Spectra Art Space.
- Interactive activity stations to spark your imagination.
- Cozy spaces to relax and connect.
- Sweet and savory treats to enjoy.
- A supportive, welcoming open mic hosted by Kerrie Joy where you'll hear poetry from your neighbors (see below for details on how to join!).
- Memorable poetry performances by Kerrie Joy sprinkled throughout the night.
- Special performances by featured artists Suzi Q. Smith (she/her) and Hakeem Furious (he/him).
- Sounds by DJ Cyn (she/her).
Feeling inspired? Wear an outfit that reflects your vision for your future. We can't wait to dream together and speak together with Kerrie Joy one last time.
All ages are welcome! This event is free of charge and will be hosted in English. No registration is required to attend.
Open Mic Details
There will be an open mic during the event, and poets of all ages, skill levels and abilities are invited to share their original poetry!
- Sign-up will be in person at the event.
- A limited number of slots are available, first come, first served starting at 5:30 pm.
- Poets are welcome to perform in any language.

About the branch
Anythink Wright Farms is a place where big ideas take root. From The Studio’s cutting-edge makerspace tools to Explore Outdoors’ nature-filled classrooms and cozy reading nooks in its one-acre park, creativity thrives here in every season. This LEED Gold-certified flagship branch welcomes the community to gather, grow, and imagine — both inside its vibrant spaces and in the flourishing pollinator and community gardens just outside its doors.
The Studio at Anythink Wright Farms, a digital creation lab featuring state-of-the-art video, audio and design equipment and software, partners creative community members with teens to help push their creativity to new bounds. Adjacent to the building is a one-acre park made possible by the Wright Farms Metro District that includes outdoor seating, reading nooks and Explore Outdoors, a certified Nature Explore children’s outdoor classroom. Continuing its dedication to sustainability, Anythink Wright Farms is a Gold LEED certified building with many sustainable features, including use of recycled materials, daylight harvesting and ground source heating and cooling.
The landscaped site also includes a community garden, maintained by local community members in partnership with Denver Urban Gardens. To reserve a plot in the Anythink Wright Farms garden, please email wfcommunitygarden@gmail.com.
