Experience “SOMOS,” a richly illustrated mural by artist Armando Silva, inspired by the voices and stories of local teens.
Drawing from an empowering series of workshops with teens in the community, Silva incorporates themes of identity, culture and values into his work. Interact with the artist, learn about the creative process and enjoy light refreshments during this exhibition unveiling. Attendees will have the opportunity to create their own self-portrait using a variety of materials on hand.
This exhibition is a part of the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art (BMoCA) at Anythink Fall Artist Showcase, made possible by funding from the Anythink Foundation and SCFD. Learn more about workshops and exhibitions at anythinklibraries.org/fallartistshowcase.
